What Does
The Law Say?
This video provides information on Danish legislation. We start with the Danish constitution, and a celebrated Danish writer and historian describes the division of power into three and the role the monarch plays. Denmark is a democracy, and its citizens enjoy the right to vote, freedom of expression, and freedom of religion. The video also informs viewers about the Public Administration Act, the Marriage Act, the Aliens Act, and the regulations governing family reunification, residence permits, and applications for asylum. Everybody is equal in the eyes of the law, which means that citizens share the same rights and obligations; one of the obligations is to pay taxes and duties.
